Getting Around

Car is the best way to get around but the Gatlinburg trolley is nice, too. You can skip parking in busy downtown and, instead, park and ride the trolley from City Hall. If you’re coming in the winter, we always recommend 4WD no matter where you’re going or staying in the area - you’re in the mountains after all! Gatlinburg averages around 9 inches of snow a year mostly in January and February but can’t be ruled out anytime during the season. Check the Great Smoky Mountain National Park Service for current conditions and alerts before heading into the park. Cell service can be spotty to non-existent in the mountains. Screenshot and save maps and directions to your phones before heading out. Keep in mind: Mountain roads wind around, climb, drop off, and need time to navigate. Plan on drives taking longer than expected and enjoy the slower pace.

Location

Sierra Bravo is lower on the mountain and an easy drive just a bit off the convenient main parkway.
